The Name

• Majulah: a Malay word meaning “move forward”, and in the Singapore context, it symbolises an aspiration for progress in spite of challenges.
• AI: while artificial intelligence in the general sense is our key focus, we recognise that

its value is unlocked by capabilities in adjacent areas e.g. data, tooling, and execution.

• Dojo: a Japanese word meaning “place of the way”, it also symbolises disciplined practice, mutual support, and shared methodology.

Majulah AI Dojo is where those who want to work at the frontier of applied AI come to develop the skills that matter: not just understanding AI, but deploying it to solve real problems.

We encourage self-directed academic learning, however our focus is on hands-on practice and projects.

Local First
In order to maximise the benefits from AI without risking data privacy and compliance, we specialise in the deployment and application of local AI models.

Client Focussed
Our aim at using AI to address real business scenarios. Understanding the client's problem is as important as knowing the technology.

Who This Is For

The Dojo is for motivated students or recent graduates, who want to build a serious career in applied AI.

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Understanding of general software development principles and programming skills in Python or another programming language
• Demonstrated ability to build and complete technical projects (academic or personal)
• Eligible to work in Singapore
