Our Founder

Majulah Solutions was founded by Miki Akira, an IT solutions architect with over 20 years of experience delivering innovative business solutions across Japan and Singapore.

Background

After focusing on scientific computing at university, he soon developed an aspiration to empower businesses using technology after graduation. During his career at IBM Japan, Akira developed systems that solved complex operational challenges across multiple industries, from enabling the live analysis of global car sales data at Honda to dramatically reducing the time needed to generate annual match schedules at J.League.

After earning an MBA in Finance from Waseda University, Akira joined the Tokyo office of the treasury platform vendor Murex, acquiring extensive experience through his work with Japanese banks. He then relocated to Singapore in 2018, where he led consulting teams while remaining hands-on in delivering, maintaining, and enhancing Murex solutions for major banks, including UOB and OCBC. In this role, he helped their treasury systems evolve reliably and boosted automation across trading and finance operations.

Drawing on a rich background in software engineering, finance, and AI, Akira specialises in transforming complex business challenges into practical, scalable digital solutions. His hands-on technical expertise spans:

  • Operational Optimisation: Built advanced maths-based and rule-based systems to streamline workforce planning and operational workflows.
  • Enterprise Integration: Led high-stakes testing, validation, and integration projects for complex financial trading platforms.
Beyond technical expertise, Akira provides critical supervisory oversight. He bridges the gap between high-level architecture and day-to-day operations, combining rigorous engineering with client-focused solutioning. By directing end-to-end validation, testing, and integration workflows, he ensures that advanced technologies are carefully managed and translated into reliable, business-ready tools.

Vision

Since the start of his career, Akira has maintained that the effective use of technology is essential for modern business success. The pandemic proved that digital agility dictates survival, while AI’s rise offers an unprecedented opportunity to redefine how we work and how businesses operate. Yet, for many smaller businesses, navigating this rapid evolution remains daunting.

Realising the role he could play, Akira founded Majulah Solutions in 2024 to illuminate the path forward. His vision focuses on delivering clear, measurable outcomes: driving operational efficiency, eliminating manual overhead, and enabling organisations to confidently adopt new capabilities.
